The All India Carrom Federation (AICF) was formed on 4th March 1956 at Chennai with Madras, Saurashtra, Bombay, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Hyderabad as its affiliated units. Dr. M. Chenna Reddy, the then Minister for Agriculture & Food, Planning & Rehablitation, Hyderabad State was elected as the first President of the Federation
